The insanely beautiful thing about the creative arts, and in particular, the
composers of sound, is you just don't know who (or what) you may end up working
with and, by definition, what it will turn out like!!!!
Such a thing is this project. I hadn't actually heard of Mike Benoit, let alone his
unique sense of SOUND (in ALL it's wonderous forms). He very kindly reached
out to me a few months ago and kindly asked if he could use some of my piano work.
This was an odd request as I usually am known for composing music for
Cinematic/Space Ambient and Meditation. But...a challenge is a challenge, so I said
“of course...help yourself” He kindly used the piano sounds from an album I released
in 2021 titled “Thursday Morning 5am” This was when everyone was being locked
down with the Covid restrictions and all which THAT entailed! The music has a
lonely and very introspective feel to it. No surprises there of course!!
I am overjoyed with what Mike has produced here with this album. I didn't
know what to expect...but I didn't expect something so beautifully recorded and
mixed. It's a real feast for the ears, especially with headphones!! It's an absolute
privilege to collaborate with a musician who REALLY knows what they are doing.

This album is the first of twelve, all of which are based around the beauty vs. the beast concept....the light against the dark....the calm fed into the storm. This first album was constructed by Mike Benoit using amazing piano tracks donated to him by Paul Headon. Paul Headon's piano sections have been altered and built upon by Mike Benoit to give you all a different perspective and take you to wherever your mind goes while listening, we all see the same things in different ways, and hear the same sounds but translate them our own ways. Never be weary about expressing yourself and open yourself to the realization that everyone of us has a different perspective on life. Keep in mind, "You never know just how you look through other people's eyes"
